Research Interests

Renston Fernandes currently works in the research of fuels/e-fuels in an Internal Combustion engine. Renston has been actively involved towards research and development towards the environment and has carried research around the realms pertaining to Infrastructure, Innovation, and Sustainability.

Some of his research carried out were “Experimental Investigation of a cycle by cycle fluctuations in a 4 stroke SI engine using gasoline-ethanol blends” and “Energy from Wastewater - An Economic Assessment of Wastewater in skyscrapers”.

He has also guided 3 projects at an Undergraduate level :

1. “Experimental Investigation Of Cycle By Cycle Fluctuations in a 4 Stroke SI Engine using Gasoline – Butanol blends”.

2. “Experimental Investigation of Performance parameters Using HFO blended with Cooking Oil”. (Funded by KSCST, Karnataka (2017-18))

3. “Conversion of Waste plastic into fuel using Heliostat” (Funded by KSCST, Karnataka (2016-17) ).
