Research Interests

Dr. Shakfa’s research interests are in the areas of optical spectroscopy, optics, and laser-based sensors. He focuses on the development of new experimental approaches for gas sensing and laser diagnostics employing quantum-cascade lasers emitting in the mid-infrared spectral range.
