Research Interests

My research interests include performance and emissions testing, in-cylinder fuel-air mixing and ignition process of gasoline compression ignition (GCI) using planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) imaging of formaldehyde (HCHO-PLIF), hydroxyl (OH-PLIF), and fuel (fuel-PLIF) complemented with high-speed imaging of combustion luminosity and chemiluminescence imaging of cool flame and OH*.

The ultimate goal is not only to achieve high brake thermal efficiency but also low noise and emissions.
