Research Interests

My research covers the field of combustion chemistry, plasma physics, and atmospheric chemistry combined with development and use of diagnostic tools and laser spectroscopic techniques to study chemical kinetics in the gas phase. Diagnostic methods include IR/VUV-UV Absorption Spectroscopy, Laser induced fluorescence (LIF), Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRDS), Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), FTIR and Gas Chromatography; applied to experimental research which relies heavily on energy systems using large facilities such as combustion vessels, shock tube devices, plasma sources (DBD, microwave, RF) and test cells.
