Research Interests
My current research deals with the effect of nanosecond repetitively-pulsed plasma discharges on flame propagation and the deflagration-to-detonation transition (DDT). My interests also include other mechanisms for the onset of DDT, such as shock-obstacle interaction and shock focusing as well as related topics, such as the acceleration of propagating turbulent flames. Previous work has spanned from the investigation of turbulent, premixed, swirl-stabilized flames to pulse detonation combustor applications.
