Research Interests

My interest is in fundamental combustion related to energy, environment and fuel issues. This includes studies on partial premixed and diffusion flame structure, combustion instability, flame stabilization, laser diagnostics, NOx formation, single droplet combustion, Heavy fuel oil combustion, and spray combustion. This research is directed toward the applications to internal combustion engines, gas turbines, and burners. Combustion diagnostics which include laser techniques such as high speed OH PLIF), 2D and 3D-PIV, PDI, Tomographic PIV, LIBS, Hot wire, TGA, SEM.
