Research Interests

With a primary focus on investigating environment-friendly energy sources and technologies, Dr. Liu employs various UV absorption diagnostic schemes in a kinetics shock tube. This unique experimental configuration enables in situ, non-intrusive, highly sensitive, and time-resolved investigation of key reactions in combustion, providing insights that are otherwise challenging to obtain. Dr. Liu’s research contributes to advancing our understanding of combustion processes and paves the way for more sustainable energy solutions.
