Research Interests

My research interest focuses on the application of ultrasonically induced cavitation for process intensification, in particular on the modelling of the cavitation phenomenon. The ultrasonic waves are applied to enhance different processes, such as metal oxides leaching in acid solutions and heavy fuel upgrading.
Along with that, in my years at CCRC I will also be working on the CFD modelling of gasifiers, coupling the fluid-dynamics with chemistry for the upgrade of heavy fuels.
