Appointment Announcement: Prof. Bassam Dally to join the Clean Combustion Research Center at KAUST.
We are pleased to announce that Prof. Bassam Dally has formally accepted the position of Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Clean Combustion Research Center, KAUST.
Prof. Bassam Dally is currently the Deputy Director of the Centre for Energy Technology, CET, at the University of Adelaide, Australia. His research career and interests span a variety of energy related topics including combustion science and engineering, concentrated solar thermal, energy storage, renewable fuels and hybrid energy systems. He has contributed to many public and scientific forums related to energy, co-authored three major review papers and more than 270 research papers. Prof Dally has received many awards over the years, and in 2016 he was named 'Energy Professional of the Year' by the SA Branch of the Australian Energy Institute. In 2019 he was named a Fellow of the Combustion Institute.
"I am excited about the opportunity to work collaboratively with world-leading researchers at CCRC and to conduct groundbreaking research that leads to impact on society, the environment, and academia. I bring a wealth of experience in translational research and I am keen to utilize it in integrating renewable energy sources into industrial processes. I am looking forward to new challenges, opportunities, and collaborations, and I cannot think of a better center to do all of this other than CCRC." stated Prof. Dally.
