Dr Mehdi Jafarian is a Research Associate with the School of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. Dr Jafarian completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Renewable Energy) from the University of Adelaide in 2014, and received a Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence for his thesis entitled, “Application of concentrated solar thermal energy in chemical looping combustion”. Dr Jafarian’s research interests include: solar thermal energy storage, carbon capture and storage, chemical looping technologies, energy systems and energy management, transport phenomena, thermodynamics and multi-phase reactions.
