Jonghee Han, Ph.D
Prof. Jonghee Han is a Professor of School of Energy Technology at Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) and he also serves as Director of KENTECH Institute for Hydrogen Energy. He has worked on hydrogen and fuel cell related R&D for more than 20 years and his research activities has concentrated on materials fabrications and system development for molten carbonate fuel cells, direct formic acid fuel cells, reformers and hydrogen purification. From his steady research activities, he published more than 180 journal papers and he hold more than 170 patents in hydrogen and fuel cells related fields. Prof.. Han had worked as a Research Engineer in Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) for more than 20 years and at this institute, he had served as the center head of the Fuel Cell Research Center, the director of the National Agenda Research Division and the director-general of Clean Energy Institute at the same institute until 2021. Prof. Han started to teach at KENTECH from 2021. He also participated in several committee of Korea government’s energy plans, such as the 4th Plan for Energy Technology Development, Clean Energy Technology Roadmap (Mission Innovations), and Hydrogen Economy Roadmap, and National Hydrogen Technology Road map. Also he served as a member of presidential advisory committee for Education and Technologies in 2011. Prof. Han has attended IEA Advanced Fuel Cell Technology Collaboration Program as the Korean member since 2012 and he has severed as a vice chair of this meeting from 2018 for 2 years. Prof.. Han received his Ph.D from University of Cincinnati, Department of Chemical Engineering in 1996.
