Bo Zhou

Biography

Dr. Zhou received his PhD from Lund University and subsequently held postdoc positions at the Sandia National Laboratory in the United States. In 2019, he joined Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering (MAE). He has dedicated his career to the study of flow-chemistry coupled systems using advanced diagnostics, and has published over 50 papers in top-tier journals. He was the recipient of the Outstanding International Student Scholarship awarded by the China Scholarship Council (2014) and the Bernard Lewis Fellowship by International Combustion Institute (2016). Dr. Zhou served as the Chair of the Turbulent Combustion Session at the 37th International Combustion Symposium and the Combustion Diagnostics Session at the 38th International Combustion Symposium. Additionally, he is a committee member of the Program Committee of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and Combustion as well as the Expert Committee of the Chinese Society for Flow Visualization.
