Ammonia Combustion Meeting (ACM)

The ammonia combustion meeting will feature invited talks from experts of academia and industry, presenting a review of the state-of-the-art on different aspects of ammonia combustion in the field, and highlight the key challenges for the community to tackle. The invited talks will be followed by a panel discussion.

Ammonia is a carbon-free fuel having great potentials for decarbonizing the energy, industrial and transportation sectors.

Large scale use of energy conversion systems exploiting ammonia combustion poses unique challenges and many relevant research opportunities.

To address those challenges and promote the exchange among researchers active in the field the First Ammonia Combustion Meeting has been organized.

The meeting will feature invited talks from experts of academia and industry, presenting a review of the state-of-the-art on different aspects of ammonia combustion in the field, and highlight the key challenges for the community to tackle. The invited talks will be followed by a panel discussion. A proactive role from attendees will be solicited and is warmly welcomed.

During the meeting the following topics will be discussed:

  • Ammonia oxidation kinetics
  • Laminar flames and fundamental combustion properties
  • Canonical turbulent flames
  • MILD combustion
  • Laboratory scale industrial burners
  • Internal Combustion Engines
