Cement Decarbonization in Saudi Arabia – Pathways to 2060 workshop, organized by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. As the kingdom transition to carbon neutrality, this workshop explores the different pathways to decarbonize the cement sector, in steady predictable steps that ensures prosperity and certainty into the future.

The workshop is by invitation only and will include invited talks from government, industry and academia and ample time for panel discussions and contributions from the participants. The one-day workshop will include three sessions addressing three main topics;
- fuel substitution
- clinker blending
- carbon capture.

The workshop is also supported by the Global Cement and Concrete Association, GCCA, where the CEO Mr Thomas Guillot will give an international perspective on decarbonization pathways. The workshop will cover current and future technologies options and delegates will have an opportunity to participate and share their plans and perspectives.
