​Francisco E. Hernandez Perez presently holds a research scientist position in the Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. He received his Ph.D. degree in aerospace science and engineering from the University of Toronto in Canada. Prior to joining KAUST, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands and a visiting researcher at IFPEN and CERFACS in France. His research interests include near-limit combustion phenomena, turbulent flames, flame stabilization and propagation, multi-phase and internal combustion engine flows, pre-ignition and ignition, detonation development, and high-performance scientific computing.
