Andreas Bräuer is a Chemical Engineer by training.
In 2007 he graduated as a Doctor in Engineering (Thermodynamics) from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU)
In 2014 he completed his Habilitation (Thermodynamics) and was promoted to a university teacher at the faculty of engineering at FAU
Between 2006 and 2017 he was the Head of the Research Group "Applied Raman scattering laboratory" that he established and developed and at the same time he served as director of administration of the Erlangen Graduate School in Advanced Optical Technologies (SAOT).
Since 2018 he is Full Professor in thermal process engineering and managing director of the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering, Environmental and Natural Material Processing at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg.
