KAUST Research ConferenceCombustion in Extreme ConditionsMarch 5-8, 2018
Yuki Minamoto received his B.E. and M.E. from Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. from University of Cambridge in 2014. After a postdoctoral researcher appointment at the Combustion Research Facility, Sandia National Laboratories, he was appointed an assistant professor position at Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests are turbulent combustion and its modelling using direct numerical simulations (DNS) and advanced laser diagnostics. Recent research topics include DNS of turbulent combustion at preheated, diluted and lean conditions, development of flexible high accuracy boundary conditions for DNS, and robust combustion modeling for extreme turbulent combustion conditions.
