Yasser Al Qahtani joined Saudi Aramco Company in 2000 and he received his bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from KFUPM. He worked in Abqaiq plants under oil processing unit. In 2009, he joined Research & Development Center as a lab scientist and worked in the combustion engine lab supporting the fuel technology team. In 2016, Yasser received his Ph.D in the area of particulate matter characterization in Gasoline Compression Ignition GCI engine from University of Birmingham, UK. Yasser was an active member in Organizing several events of Saudi Arabian International Chemical Science Chapter of American Chemical Society (SAICSC-ACS) (2010-2011).​
