Research Interests

Optical diagnostics on the in-cylinder air-fuel mixing and combustion processes of partially premixed combustion (PPC) and reactivity-controlled compression ignition (RCCI); Flame development characteristics of spark-assisted PPC strategy; Combustion characteristics of new alternative biofuels like butanol and polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers (PODE); Spray-wall impingement impact on the in-cylinder combustion and soot emissions in the internal combustion engine; Laser diagnostics techniques of high-speed planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) and planar laser-induced incandescence (PLII).
